Chewelah Baptist Church is located 45 miles north of Spokane and 50 miles south of the Canadian border.  Since Chewelah is between two mountain ranges, recreation opportunities are plentiful, ranging from fishing, boating, camping, hunting, to all kinds of winter sports.  The abundance of recreational opportunities is one reason over 90% of Washington residents do not attend church.
